Meole Brace Strictly 2014
On Friday night, February 7, all roads led to the School Hall for the 2014 edition of 'Meole Brace Strictly Come Dancing'. Ten couples, five staff and five student, showed a packed audience the fruits of their hard work over the previous weeks, thrilling all present with an exciting programme of high quality ballroom.
Dances included the Jive, Paso Doble, Cha Cha Cha, Samba and Charleston. Judging was rigorous, but fair and at the end of the evening the worthy winners of the competition were Naomi Smith and Billy Lamond, Year 11 students, with their rip-roaring interpretation of the Charleston, complete with cane and feathers!
Adding glitz, glamour and a series of stunning performances were our special guests for the evening, two of the top six ranked juvenile ballroom dancers in Britain, Megan Storer (16) and Lewis Hateley (14).
A fantastic, fun evening enjoyed by all lucky enough to be there and we already look forward to the next, amazing 'Meole Brace Strictly Come Dancing'.
