Progress Review Day

The annual Progress Review Day will take place at the school on Friday 3rd February 2017. The aim being to enable every pupil to focus on their progress and performance during a 10 minute appointment with their tutor. Parents are welcome to attend the meeting. Parents’ Evenings will continue as usual during the year as an opportunity for you to discuss your child’s progress in specific subjects.

We believe it is very important to monitor closely the progress of each student so that we can praise and reward success, and work in partnership with students and yourselves to overcome weaknesses. It is vital that students understand how well they are doing, how we believe they should be doing and how they can improve.

On Friday 5th February there will be no normal lessons so teachers will have the time they need to see each member of their tutor group individually. All meetings will be held during normal school hours.

We are confident that you and your daughter/son will find the meetings constructive and worthwhile. It is a valuable opportunity for the pupils to evaluate their progress and to realise the benefits that specific adjustments to their work will make.

Further details will be sent home with your child by the end of this week, but if you have any queries please do not hesitate to contact me.
