On Thursday 20th July, 20 girls took part in a day specifically designed to boost self-esteem among female students. Over the course of the day, they were given positive messages from members of staff, they made crowns, looked at famous women through history, listened to strong female artists, designed their own alternative Superheroes and finally took part in a yoga session by Sasha Ford designed to boost self-esteem and self-love.
The aim of the day was to give female students strength and confidence in their own abilities and 'powers'. As teenagers, students are under pressure from many sources. The strength to cope with these pressures is invaluable.
