Religion and Philosophy Department
One of the exciting aspects in the lives of today's young people is that they are aware and have become involved in some of the great moral and ethical issues of life. At times the energy and desire for instant results may conclude in actions being made without the consequences being appreciated.
Our five year course is aimed at assisting our pupils to think deeper about the big questions of life and death.
Using the Shropshire Agreed Syllabus as the basis of our work we explore the meaning of Spirituality on a personal level and how it affects various cultures we live in.
The course is centred around 14 questions which most humans ask at some stage in life about their existence, for example :
- Who Am I ?
- How should we relate to others ?
- What is our role within the environment ?
- Does it matter what we believe ?
