Extra-Curricular Activities
The department, supported by a variety of teaching staff in the school, provide a vast array of activities both before and after school. All pupils are encouraged to attend these clubs to further develop the skills they gain within curriculum time. Becoming a "regular" at an extra curricular club is a great way to have fun, make new friends and keep fit and healthy!
Assessment
All of the units of work completed in Physical Education will be used by teachers and pupils to check that progress is being made. It is vital that pupils are aware of their strengths and areas in which they need to improve. In order to do this, pupils are assessed according to the National Curriculum level descriptors, and are kept informed on the level they are Stageat. The teachers then provide the pupils with information they can use to try and improve their performance in particular areas.
