We want every pupil to feel happy and supported in their English lessons.
We aim to help all pupils to learn how to take responsibility for their own learning and to achieve their full potential to develop into effective communicators and active, critical readers.
Key Stage 3 English begins in Year 7 and ends in Year 9 with externally assessed SATs.
At Key Stage 4, beginning in Year 10, students study for G.C.S.E.s in English and Literature. The majority of students study for both English and English Literature. Some students study for English only, and for Entry Level Certificate.
