Dear Parent
Welcome to
Year 7 students have now completed their first fortnight and I hope that your son/daughter has had an enjoyable start to life at
I am writing to re-introduce myself and to offer a warm welcome to you, as parents, to
At the Year 6 Parents' Evening in July, I spoke about the School and parents working as a team to support your children in their secondary education, and the importance of good communication. Please do contact the school, via a note in your child's homework diary or a telephone call to their tutor or to me, should you have anything you wish to discuss. We always strive to do our best for our students so want to know if you feel we haven't lived up to your expectations or if you are particularly pleased with what we are doing.
I look forward to working with you, over the next 5 years, to ensure your child has a successful and enjoyable time at our school.
Yours sincerely

Dear Parent/Carer
I would like to extend a very warm invitation to you to attend our Open Evening which this year will be held at
The aim of the evening is to introduce you and your family to
This is always a popular evening, and we normally see several hundred visitors. To give you all the opportunity to talk to students and staff in a leisurely way, I suggest a staggered start to the evening along the following lines based upon the schools from which we admitted children last year:-
Parents and children from:
Holy Cross, Longden, Meole Brace, Radbrook 5.30 pm
Coleham,
Greenacres, Greenfields, Harlescott,
St
Hanwood, St Winefrides, Trinity, Pontesbury, Westbury,
Martin Wilson, Wilfred Owen and Condover 6.10pm
Parents and children from other schools are most welcome to attend at any time.
Whilst you must feel free to visit at a convenient time for your family, I would appreciate your help in this matter.
Please bring your children along. The evening is for them as well as parents.
There will be areas where displays/activities will be taking place and you will be handed a programme when you arrive. Prefects will be on hand to take you to your starting point and guides will be available to help you.
All our guides and students are present on a voluntary basis and will be happy to chat to you.
School will also be open to visitors from 9.15am to 11.00am on Wednesday 30 September when a student or member of staff will be on hand to show you around. The car park by the synthetic sports pitch/sports hall will be open to cars during the morning. An estimation of numbers for the morning would be helpful so that I can arrange guides. A telephone call or note giving the school advance notice would be appreciated. Whether it is a planned visit or a last minute decision, I look forward to meeting you during the course of the morning and/or evening on Wednesday 30 September.
Yours sincerely

Dear Parent
EARLY CLOSURE - 1.55PM - WEDNESDAY 30 SEPTEMBER
OPEN EVENING
School will close early on the afternoon of Wednesday 30 September. Normal lessons will run through to the end of period 4 at 1.55pm. Arrangements have been made for the normal school buses to collect students at 1.55pm and I would be grateful if parents could make appropriate arrangements for students arriving home early as well as for those students who go home by other means. If there are particular problems please let me know.
I am grateful for the considerable support which so many students give to Open Evening. Many of them are present working and answering questions from well before 5.30pm to after 8.00pm. These students will now have the opportunity for a break in the afternoon. The early closure also gives the school the opportunity to prepare for this very important event.
Yours sincerely
